The Pan-African Perspectives Weekly Study Group

What is Pan-African Perspectives?

Pan-African Perspectives is a public outreach project in association with Black Researchers United that is intended to build a bridge between independent Black researchers and Black research enthusiasts in the community-at-large.

One of the ways that we engage with the public is through our Pan-African Perspectives study group on the Clubhouse app, in which we host an audio chatroom every Saturday evening at 7:30 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST). Here is the link to our club: https://www.clubhouse.com/club/pan-african-perspectives.

We also meet using two other platforms. We host a video chatroom on Facebook Messenger every Sunday and Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm EST. This space serves as a virtual study group. In addition to this, we have a public village on the Black-owned messaging app Supfrica called “Book Club.” As there are many continental Africans using this platform, this is a great way for us to connect our African brothers and sisters on the continent and in the diaspora.

This project is open to all of our people who have a passion for Pan-African research and education. We meet to discuss books, articles, lectures, and documentaries pertaining to the histories and cultures of African people. We advocate for the implementation of African-centered principles and programs in our communities worldwide.
